AS A TELEVISION WRITER AND PRODUCER
I am highly trained in television production. When I was working in broadcast media, I conceptualised and pitched creative concepts, wrote and edited scripts, conducted research, interviewed celebrities and aspiring celebrities, and produced and directed segments for several television shows ranging from variety up to infotainment television formats.
As part of the production team of the Idol franchise, Philippine Idol, I received training on television script writing and production from Freemantle Media.
Apart from creative media work, I received training in managing the logistical aspect of television production - recorded and live shows. This included booking for studios and technical requirements (lights/cameras), budgeting, on-location shoot management, monitoring TV airing, assisting press conferences and other media-related events, and assisting celebrities in delivering their spiels on camera.
By being part of the broadcasting industry in the Philippines, I found myself working and interacting with a diverse range of individuals - celebrities, aspiring stars, fans, diverse audiences, broadcast media executives, and so forth.
In sum, I am skilled in working in a big and diverse team, as well as to dealing with the processes of broadcast media production, project management, and administrative challenges.
